Bosanac thanked the President for the patronage of the Brijuni Conference 2024, presented the Association’s activities on ongoing projects, education and international activities, emphasising regional cooperation. The Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Sc. A. Jukić, gave an overview of the faculty’s activities in the development of advanced materials, M. Sc. D. Kočiš, Secretary General of A3, gave an overview of the activities of the high-tech company Multinorm and their participation in the Perun 1p project, Prof. D. Pejić introduced herself with her international contacts, especially NASA and her work as a system engineer in Vienna related to space.

In the further discussion, the need for the development of space activities in the Republic of Croatia was emphasised, especially in the field of satellite technology, since information collected and delivered via space satellites is of great importance for economic development as well as the preservation of ecological safety. Satellite information is of crucial importance in almost all segments of technological, economic and scientific development, and is increasingly becoming of vital importance in issues of crisis management, defence and national security. In this sense, the Adriatic Aerospace Association will certainly be an important factor in the development of the Republic of Croatia.

The broader problem of the development of the space program in Europe, which lags significantly behind the development of the Chinese and US space programs, and the need to change this trend was also touched upon. The Republic of Croatia, with its potential technological and scientific capacities, must make its contribution to this endeavour.
