The new MIT system that came out of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) is the first to allow users to design, simulate, and build individually custom-made drones. Users can change the size, shape, and structure of their drone based on the specific needs for carrying capacity, price, flight time, battery consumption, and other factors.
Like the internet and GPS before them, drones are being developed beyond their original military use to become powerful business tools. They have already made a jump on the consumer market and are now being used in commercial and civilian governmental applications from firearms to agriculture. Northrop Grumman Corporation, a leading global security company, and Orbital ATK, Inc., a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Northrop Grumman will acquire Orbital ATK for approximately $7.8 billion in cash, plus the assumption of $1.4 billion in net debt. Orbital ATK shareholders will receive all-cash consideration of $134.50 per share. The agreement has been approved unanimously by the Boards of Directors of both companies. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2018 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory and Orbital ATK shareholder approval.

This summer many fires raged Adriatic coast in Croatia, the most famous is the one that came close to burn Split. At the same time another two were visible from the Space. The power of satellite observation could be used for detecting fires at the earliest stage thus preventing disasters that come after they get out of control. Another problem is detecting ember which are hidden dangers for instigating new fires after the main one was put out.
