Global Space Exploration Conference GLEX 2020

The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) is pleased to invite you to the Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX) 2020 to take place in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation from 9 – 11 June 2020.

The Conference, organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and hosted by IAF Member ROSCOSMOS, will bring together leaders and decision-makers within the science and human exploration community ? engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, educators, agency representatives and policy makers. Following up on GLEX 2012 in Washington, D.C., United States and GLEX 2017 in Beijing, China, GLEX 2020 aims to examine the recent achievements and current challenges in space exploration, as well as providing a platform to encourage international cooperation and to promote space exploration on a global scale. GLEX 2020 will feature an Opening Event; several Plenary Events and Keynote Lectures; a Global Networking Forum (GNF) Programme and an attractive social and networking programme including a Welcome Reception and a Gala Dinner.  GLEX 2020 will also feature a Technical Programme with Sessions in several parallel technical streams. The Call for Papers will be open until 3 January 2020. Please be sure to share this deadline with any colleagues who may be interested.

12th European Space Conference

The 12th European Space Conference

Will be a defining event as it will serve to set the scene for the upcoming decade with regards not only to European space Policy it self, but also to many space-related issues, such as “new space”, industrial strategy, research & development, AI and quantum, digital security, and defence.

This next edition of our cycle of conferences will count on the presence of the new European decision makers who will be at the helm of this policy for at least the next mandate, and possibly longer. Key areas of interest and debate will be:

Northwestern’s Polytechnic University prof. Yi Li visit to A3

Prof. dr. Yi Li from Department of Astronautics at the Northwestern Polytechnic University in Xian visited us 5-7 December. During the visit we discussed future collaboration in space research.

Prof. Li visited two institutions, our members. At the Ruđer Bošković Institute dr. Mile Ivanda showed prof. Li the research they do in the laboratory for Synthesis of New Materials. Director of the Institute dr. David Smith hosted prof.  Li when they presented the ongoing research at both institutions. Prof. Li also visited Algebra University College where he met the Dean prof. Mislav Balković and delivered in front of the packed audience lecture on NPU and the work in his Department. The visit by all accounts was very successful.
